The world is ending, and people will always react the same way: in fear, in anger that they have not reached the happiness they are entitled to. Humans are always in pursuit of fulfilling their wishes: a selfish existance, no matter the wish, used to appease the self more than anything, no matter what philanthropic means they claim. This is the second and last chance for many people, and to have the possibility wrenched from their hands... it would be surprising to see any other reaction.

In every lifetime we live (and there are many), the wish never changes. Some of them are impossible to grant, but even that doesn't stop us. We pursue on blindly, in hopes that one day we will find the way to discover true happiness. To fulfill our wish.

It is from despair, after all, that hope is born.

You cannot let this world beat you, nor the next, nor the next.
Pizza Hut will be opening this Saturday on the lower at its current location, [lol location here.] We provide both delivery and take-out, as well as the option at eating at our tables. As mentioned before, the first nine customers will receive a Cheese-kun plushie; however, if I remember correctly, there have been three persons who have expressed interest in getting one of the first pizzas, so that leaves only six Cheese-kun plushies. Get them while they're hot.

As for my employees (Rollo, Annmarie, Saji, and RJ <s>Setsuna is gone, isn't he</s>), be sure to arrive promptly at work around nine.

C.C. does not even know how old she is; her existence on Earth has been for hundreds of years. She can remember, dimly, memories: being shot in the head during WWI; being persecuted as a witch; the Washington's rebellion; watching Lelouch and Suzaku as young children. It's due to her great age and the bitterness of experiences that makes C.C. wary of people. She states that she cannot even remember who loves her or who hates her.

Her abilities to bestow Geass, her regenerative abilities that basically render her immortal, and her psionic powers made her interesting to the Britannian government, particularly because they too wished to unlock the secret of immortality. C.C. was captured, gagged, bound, made completely powerless and shipped around under the guise of being a capsule of nerve gas.

That is how she meets Lelouch and bestows upon him the power of Geass. He and he alone is able to get closer to her than any other character: he alone knows her real name, has seen moments of her memories, knows of the stigmata under her breast. C.C. helps him on his quest to defeat and destroy the Britannian empire, though it isn't clear what her intents or purposes are. She acts in his steed when needed, and the Black Knights assume she is his mistress, particularly because they share the same bedroom.

(For those interested, she makes Lelouch sleep on the floor.)

Throughout the series, it appears she is talking to some unknown person, though it is eventually revealed to be Lelouch's deceased mother, the Empress Marianne. It is unclear how she maintains this connection.

C.C. adjusts easily to her life with Lelouch, integrating herself without question and even despite his refusal to allow her in. She sleeps in his bed, runs up his credit cards, and puts him in messes by randomly appearing on campus. However, it is undeniable that C.C. acts as some pillar of sanity for Lelouch, or at the very least something constant as he continues to change his world.

She does show some signs of tenderness, particularly when he saws, "If you are a witch, then I am a warlock." At the end of the series, C.C. is shown drifting to the bottom of the sea in a box, apparently destined to die.

It is here she says what may be her most important lines and may show what her intentions are:

"Humans exist to search for happiness. What he [Lelouch] was looking for is just that bit of happiness. It's not something special. The root of his actions - as a person, they are very tiny wishes that can be clearly seen in everyone. These dreams, these vows - who can deny them? Who has that right? However, no matter who made the wish, no matter what the wish is, one cannot bind the whole world to himself. ... he is blocked by the past he created - hate between people. Still, we should be thankful that humans desire happiness, for it is from despair that hope is born."

Character: C.C. from Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion
Age: Several hundred years old, looks about seventeen.
Birthday: Unknown.
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Family: Unknown.

Sins: Pride, Gluttony, Greed

Occupation: Co-Owner of Pizza Hut.
Living Situation: Upper level with Lelouch and Rollo.
Love Interest: Lelouch Lamperouge.
Best Friend: Lelouch Lamperouge.

Notes of Interest:

No matter what, C.C. is basically unable to die.
C.C. has a weakness for children and Mao, though she tries hard to hide it.

=============================

relationships.

Annmarie: C.C. does not like Annmarie. The girl seems to harbor a crush on Lelouch, whom C.C. is very possessive of, and she had the gall to attack C.C. for dressing Lelouch as a girl. More than that, she called C.C. the 'w' word: a witch. C.C. rejected her apology as insipid and unneeded, and she shows little want to reconcile with someone she considers a waste of energy and time.

Kallen: Her fellow Knight and a possible rival in the fight for Lelouch's affections. Although sometimes C.C. can appear almost condescending to Kallen, it's more often to find her teasing the more passionate female about anything in particular that catches her attention. The two seem to get along fine, which means Kallen is one of the few females C.C. finds she can tolerate.

Lelouch: It's hard to describe her relationship with Lelouch. It's not quite friendship and not quite a partnership and not quite a romantic relationship, but it certainly contains elements of all three. C.C. feels Lelouch is the closest person she has ever been to: he knows her name, he's promised to stay by her side, she's saved him, etc. It's difficult to say what she truly feels, but the kiss C.C. gave Lelouch before she left to Purgatorium certainly illuminates a few possibilities. Currently, they are masquerading as lovers to explain the close relationship between them.

Mao: C.C. is the only human that Mao has ever known, the only touch and voice and love. She cared for him when he was young, helped him deal with the Geass she gave him, but when the power fractured his mind, she abandoned him. Later, they met up again and Mao's obsession with C.C. drove him to kidnap her and attempt to kill her (chop her into bits with a chainsaw). Luckily (or unluckily), Lelouch saved her and Mao was killed. C.C. feels nothing for Mao except a sort of irritating pity, though it seems she's beginning to soften a little.

Nathan: It might be suitable to say these two are something of partners-in-crime: maybe due to their age, they seem to find amusement in the behavior of most of the people here. Nathan is a tad more obvious about his amusement, but for the most part, C.C. shares in it too. She might be the more sympathetic of the two. He might be considered one of her few friends here.
